A goal of mine when I started flying hang gliders 4 years ago was to make the Australian team and fly in the world championship. This year, I met that goal. It’s taken a lot of competitions and many mistakes in flying days to get here but I can’t wait to get out and fly with the world’s best pilots. There will be so much to learn!
There’s been a lot of work in the lead up with organising glider resails, glider short packing, glider freighting, passports, visas, accommodation, drivers, insurance and flights. One week out, from departure and I’m finally feeling like I’m ready!
